The 2019 Chicago Midwinter Dental Meeting is quickly approaching, and Young Innovations and Darby Dental Supply want you to get the most out of your time. Here are some tips and tricks for surviving a dental trade show:
#1) Wear Comfortable Shoes
Most of your day at work consists of being on your feet. Just because you are not at work does not mean you should opt for a pair of heels for the trade show! Wear sneakers or comfortable flats so you can get more mileage out of your day and limit your aches and pains.
#2) Register for the free courses EARLY
Take advantage of online registration on the Chicago Midwinter website to reserve seats in the F Courses before they fill up. Click HERE to register.
#3) Be sure to scan your badge to earn CE credit
The Chicago Dental Society designates one credit per hour for CE activities. Illinois hygienists are required to obtain 36 CE hours in a three-year period, and a CPR certification in the year of licensure. If your badge is not scanned, you will not receive credit for the course.
#4) Download the Midwinter Mobile App
This will help you set your goals and strategies for the show floor. Learn beforehand where the booths and classrooms you wish to visit are located to help you save time. The app will also have information about where to find food on site, and much more.
#5) Bring a tote bag
Before arriving at the trade show, make sure to pack some snacks, water, hand sanitizer, and other essentials to get you through the day. Your tote will also come in handy when it comes to gathering up samples. That’s the best part, right?
#6) Pay attention to social media
Follow updates on your favorite Chicago Midwinter exhibitors by keeping an eye on their social media channels. Many booths will have giveaways, show-only deals, and more. Who knows, you may even see a Young Hygiene Handpiece giveaway at Darby Dental Supply booth #4625 during one of our Facebook Live segments ;)
