Get ideas on how to help your instruments last longer, how to determine a sharpening schedule that works best for you, and when to call it quits and recycle that dull instrument.

Emma Spencer, RDH

Emma Spencer, RDH, has been in the dental field since 2006, beginning as an RDA in her home state of Alaska. She graduated from dental hygiene school in 2016 in Texas, and has had the privilege of working in many different types of clinics over the years including public health, large group practices, and small private practices. She has also worked as an instructor for future RDAs, and is currently a clinical educator for Young Innovations.
 
In hygiene school Emma remembers struggling with the concept of sharpening, and how daunting the task was. Never one to turn down an opportunity to share knowledge and teach others, Emma is excited to bring you this refresher course on sharpening.
